Musicians Institute offers three types of scholarships designed to
provide tuition assistance to students during their enrollment at MI.
Description
Scholarship Amounts and Method of Award
- Scholarships are awarded in the form of tuition credit only.
- The total award amount will be determined after a review of your application.
- The total award amount is divided by the number of quarters in your
program and credited equally toward each quarter’s tuition (except MI
Hardship Scholarship; which is a one-time award).
List of Musicians Scholarships at MI for non-US Residents

Musicianship Scholarship
Musicianship Scholarships are available to new instrument and vocals
students (both US and non-US citizens) enrolling in the Bachelor of
Music, Associate of Arts, or Certificate in Performance Programs who
demonstrate outstanding musicianship. A total of ten Musicianship
Scholarships (two per instrument) are awarded for each new program
start. The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in
performance (instrument and vocals) programs only, and may not be
transferred to “non-performance program” emphases ( Audio Engineering,
Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA
or Bachelor degree.

Independent Artist Scholarship
Independent Artist Scholarships are available to applicants (both US
and non-US citizens) enrolling in the Artist Certificate Program who
demonstrate outstanding talent.

ESP Guitar Scholarship
The ESP Guitar Scholarship, sponsored by the ESP Guitar Company, is
awarded each Fall and Spring to a student enrolling in the Associate of
Arts in Performance (Guitar) program (US or non-US citizen) who
demonstrates outstanding musicianship in the Rock genre. The scholarship
is applicable for students enrolled in the Guitar performance program
only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases
(Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or
Film) within an AA degree.

ESP Acoustic Guitar Scholarship
The ESP Acoustic Guitar Scholarship, sponsored by the ESP Guitar
Company, is awarded each Fall and Spring to a student enrolling in the
Associate of Arts in Performance (Guitar) program (US or non-US citizen)
who demonstrates outstanding musicianship as an acoustic guitarist.
The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the Guitar
performance program only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance
program” emphases (Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent
Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA degree.
